Silent Service

A Japanese/American nuclear submarine is built and named the Sea Bat. It is armed with 8 torpedo bays, making it the most powerful sub ever built. On it's way to the escort, the Sea Bat deviates from it's coarse and goes rouge. The Sea Bat is renamed as the Yamato. What follows is the hunt to retrieve the submarine using all the state of the art military equipment available to the US. Here, P-3 Orions are used for surveillance, and S-3 Vikings and Kamen Seasprite helicopters are shown launching torpedoes into the water. AEGIS cruisers and destroyers use Harpoon anti-ship missiles, 5" cannons, and ASROC anti-sub torpedoes, while defending themselves with Phalanx Vulcan cannons.
